I'm writing words, you are reading them. Hmm, the direction of this blog...I'm not so sure I have one nor a desire for one. I'm gonna ramble; I'm gonna advise; I'm gonna reflect; I'm gonna bullshit. I study psych; I travel by subway and yellows. I succumb to the small talk of the weather. I people watch. I laugh...EVERYDAY. Likes: smart people!! funny people!! sarcasm, music I can dance to, music I can sing with, music that makes me think, music that lights candles ;) playing in the park afterhours [the only way u won't look like a pedophile jkjk (well not really lol)] natural hair and skin care, natgeo, family guy, the colbert report, reading, history, psychology, shoes, vegan food, people watching =) I party now and again, maybe sip on something ;-) Dislikes: celery sans bleu cheese (ranch will suffice), deadlines, smokers, when my metrocard expires =(, arrogance, ppl playing music in public w/o headphones ugh, capitalism. The lists ofcourse could be way longer. Tumbling along

any product suggestions on how to make twist outs last longer?! Im currently in transition and can NEVER get more than 2nd day hair. also, what do you think about trying bantu knots

hi there! well my twist outs usually last me about a week. One of the methods that I’ve tried and also like is two strand flat twisting the roots and then just twisting the remainder regularly. Maybe you can try that too. I usually retwist every other night in bigger twists to go to bed and wear a satin bonnet. The overnight maintenance is really key for me. Right now I use a mixture of shea moisture’s curl enhacing smoothie with ecostyler gel. The ecostyler has nice, touchable hold for my twists. Bantu knots are the shizz on wet hair for me. When I try it on dry, it’s…a lil bleh. puffy, just eh and it only lasts me for like 2 days. I use the same products for that style right now. I have become pretty partial to the ecostyler gel mixed with…everything.

This is an old photo of a fresh twist out of mine. The next few days, it’ll just grow and get more voluminous.
